B.3 Data Cartridge Write-protect Switch

Each data cartridge has a write-protect switch (Figure B-6) that can be used to

prevent accidental erasure of data.

Since the DLT IV cartridge is a read-only cartridge when used in the SDLT drive,

the write-protect switch in this configuration is not used.
