Storage Segment

The AML/E product line consists of a family of storage

components that can be combined to provide a storage

solution with the optimal balance between capacity and

performance. The family includes the Quadro Tower,

Hexa Tower, and Linear Racks.

Quadro Tower

A Quadro Tower provides the largest media density in a

library. See Figure 2-4. The AML/E library can be configured

to include up to two Quadro Towers.

Each Quadro Tower consists of:

• eight storage surfaces within the main rotating tower

• 24 additional storage surfaces arrayed on four

independent rotating auxiliary towers

• the number of positions per row depends on the media

type
