92 Using the Menus

Reset Configuration

Reset Configuration allows you to reset your library to the default settings. For more information of the

default values, see Setting up your Scalar 24

on page 24.

Path:

4 Press and to select the scanner

Available options are:

• Default: The scanner will expect to read and

will report to the host six characters. One or

two character optional media identifiers will

not be reported.

• Media ID: The scanner will expect to read

and will report to the host seven or eight

characters (six plus the media identifier).

• Extended: The scanner will read and report

between five and sixteen characters to the

host.

5 Press to highlight Execute ( ) and

then press .

Your barcode scanner is configured and ready

for use.

6 A confirmation screen displays. Press

to dismiss.
