Access Mode
Access Mode allows you to set additional control paths, which allows the library to be controlled by more
than one host.
3 Press and to select product you
would like you Scalar 24 to appear as to
the host.
Sets the inquiry string returned to the host in a
SCSI inquiry command.
Available options are:
•Scalar 24
•Scalar 100
• Scalar 1000
•Scalar 10K
4 Press to highlight Execute ( ) and
then press .
The inquiry string is set.
5 A confirmation screen displays. Press
to dismiss.

1 From the Setup menu, highlight and

Sets SCSI IDs.
2 Highlight and press .
Sets Access Mode.
